Third shift

Be careful
I tend to believe what you say
Maybe I should watch your mouth
Instead of my own
Maybe I should stop with these expectations
And learn to forget.

No one needs like me
And I can’t help but feel this pain
No one knows
What I do
Being up all night
With no one to talk to

If you could wake and talk to me
I’d hold you with my words
And remind you what we are
I was sick of talking and laughing to myself
