keep that to yourself

I don’t want to die
With your tears on my sleeve
Your blood on my knees
We should take turns
Turning our backs
Hurting our friends
with suicide pacts.

Is that what this care was for
To heal your open sores
Is that what this hatred is for
To help settle the score

Well I can’t take this hand
Without saying thanks
And I can’t tell this tale
Without you to fill in the blanks
We have reached a new height
From falling down these stairs
To a dim that shines too bright.

Is that what your heart is about
To remind me I’m still yours
Is that what your love is about
To show me your all that and more.
