Consolidated histories

2.16.06
one more hand
to say
one more are
to say to you, "i'll be home."
i'm lying on your side of the bed
carrying flowers of thoughts
over your way
dead daises and harbored memories.
will i devote
to this bird with broken wings?
prayers that just get deflected
by my ceiling fan
words that mean
more than fallen leaves
oh how i long to know a falling so pure
that i'll never get up again.

2.19.06
i woke up
with my eyes sewn to my star ceiling
making lovers with make believe
i'm everyone i'd ever want to be
wrapped in cathartic gauze
silly moments held together
with infinite staples made of your disease
how walking this hallway corridor
reminds me of living in constant remembrance
of yr always-ness.

2.9.06
so many moments floored
aligned with a hollow chest
so we hide our mystery
in stop-start symphonies
we always bury our burdens
in backyard with the dead rabbits
tucked away we stay
under heavy thoughts of homes
with no front entrances
cradles with out babies
tricycles with no one to ride.
we've cut this tree to a stump
but we never removed the roots
how far our histories stretch
we'll never know.
psychically connected to a past
we'll never know
a part we are
but never fully acknowledge.

2.9.06
key scratched
etched memory
door slams
responsibility echoes
home is just a place
you hope you find peace
well is never well enough
girls with forked tongues
and liars that sing brilliantly
a shine of yearning incomplete
a worry for poor young daughters
singing about bleeding.
a cracked frozen pond
with holding mittens
beacons that dim when you come near
a weak following
of lovers that like to hurt.
i'm sick of listing all my debts.
to-do list/ don't cross me out.
