an anthology of disgust
you laid to rest
my discourse of us
all i had given to the skies
gone to wherever dead dreams go
want is a tired word
when you keep your desires
to yourself
no one is inside that place you call home
will you ever sacrifice your safety
for a place that could chance it all?
a circle has only one path
and you have sworn your allegiance
to such conditioning
will you fall into a puddle
expecting an abyss?
i have taken my change from the bureau
not even left overs are worth your absentminded-ness.
let the dust settle
you'll be comfortable once more.
