His head shakes
His hands hold onto the walls
Collapsing to the floor
He sees what he is
All before a cast of himself
A million mirrors
Reflects the lies he tells
The liar he embodies
When a selfish boy he is
Married to the ideal
Of caring without trying
Just a hurtful kid
That hasn’t known how to love
And the ideas are fond but distant
And he likes to throw around the notion
That he has tried
And says he still is
But the product and advertisement don’t align
He can’t be consistent with this façade
And he bows his head, dead to the truth
Knowing he deserves not much more
Than a curtain call
And rolling credits of the ones who deserve more credit.
