all out of care
for a mirror that never measures up
a me that never does anything consistently
a self-sufficiency that never lasts
and a drive across the country
that will end with me
drunk at your doorstep
double parked in yr memory
i know i take up more heart than you'd like
but this cold hand needs something tangible
not all these stupor-ed nights with me hanging on words
like they could save a fool like me.
